| Three brothers, José Ramón, Álvaro y Roberto García López, together with their wives, run now this important hotel and catering complex on the west coast of Asturias. It was opened by their parents more than half a century ago. Mrs. Consuelo would run the kitchen and cook almost till the day died in 1969. In 1960 the Restaurant was named after her. |
| “Casa Consuelo” in Otur, has become something of an institution. It’s an obligatory stop on the way to the west. There are people who travel to Otur merely to eat at “Casa Consuelo”. The three brothers and their wives, who do their best every day, believe that the key to success lies in the quality of their cooking and its value for money. |

| En 1991, se ha realizado una importante reforma en el hotel, para adaptarse a las exigencias tecnológicas y estéticas, que ha llevado consigo la transformación del salón de banquetes en habitaciones, ampliándose el numero de habitaciones a 37. |

| In June 1979, two years after starting to build, the tree brothers inaugurate the Hotel “Casa Consuelo” had 26 bedrooms and a capacity of 39 people, as well as a lounge-dinning-conference room with capacity of 300 people. In 1991 the Hotel was renovated in order to satisfy the technological and aesthetic demands, which brought along the transformation of the dinning room into bedrooms, increasing the number of these to 37. |
| On the ground floor of the hotel, several stores were made as well a wine cellar, probably the most complete one in Asturias with more than 20.000 bottles of wine from year 1925 until these days. A wine cellar that besides its value, it has its owners’ affection. |

| “Casa Consuelo” celebrates the event “Gastronomy in painting” every other year, It is a competition with national prestige (Over 300 painters attended the last edition) and it is unique in Spain. |
